There is no doubt that white people love coffee. Yes, it’s true that asians like iced coffee and people of all races enjoy it. But I promise you that the first person at your school to drink coffee was a white person. You could kind of tell they didn’t enjoy it, but they did it anyways until they liked it – like cigarettes.
White people all need Starbucks, Second Cup or Coffee Bean. They are also fond of saying “you do NOT want to see me before I get my morning coffee.” White guys will also call it anything but coffee: “rocket fuel,” “java,” “joe,” “black gold,” and so forth. It’s pretty garbage all around.
If you want to go for extra points – white people really love FAIR TRADE coffee, because paying the extra $2 means they are making a difference.

hahaha this is so true… sadly. i’m 16, i’m white, and i extremely overuse the phrase “i can’t live without my fiveshot espresso in the morning” haha

I always hear those white Americans mentioning that thing about not functioning in the morning without their coffee–no matter what their age.
Who else doesn’t like coffee? It’s heavily drank by peoples in warm climates: India, Egypt, Brazil or Cuba, and the triple-digit hot summers in Arizona and Palm Springs, one can find a few coffee bars with outdoor patios under wet misters. Coffee is said to been a best way to hydrate, but without the sugar of sodas and calories of gatorade. +

I have to disagree. I am African, Eritrean to be specific and coffee is a huge part of my culture, I’m 21 and have been drinking it since middle school, not because i thought it was hip but because i enjoy it.
The humor lies in the way white people act about coffee, and the fact that some young white people do start drinking coffee “to be hip”. As a white person who grew up around a lot of white people, I feel like this was an accurate and humorous observation that very much has a place at the top of the list of stuff white people like.
The point is not that white people like coffee at the expense of other people liking coffee, or more than other people like coffee; nor is it that Eritreans like coffee to be hip. This list makes fun of white people, using quintessentially white self-deprecation and in no way does it suggest that coffee belongs to white people or that other groups have the same behaviors relating to coffee.

You should allow coffee advertisements on here, like Wal-Mart’s huge cans of coffee for $4.95 and the west coast grocery chain Winco’s for $3.95. Winco is also doing well in Indio, the only market north of the railroad…and priced for those on a budget. +
i have to say, all of these things are pretty accurate. i’m dominican, raised in puerto rico, i live in new york now and i’ve been living the white lifestyle for as long as i can remember. even before i got to the states. so i’m a living testament that it is not a race thing. i too hate it that some think that just cause i’m dominican i’d rather eat rice and beans everyday than a tuna wrap. obviously, not the case. by the way, i’m more of a double shot vanilla latte kinda girl, cause white people don’t know how to make black coffee.

I’m so white I won’t even drink instant. instant coffee just isn’t good enough, and it gives me an opportunity to tell other white people how I’ll only drink a short machiatto, if the barista is a 50 year old italian man with a very short grasp of the english language. This lets them know that in short I think they are and anyone who partakes of instant, as Peasants.
