It’s no secret that black people have become famously branded with eating chicken. What isn’t being told is that black people actually prefer baked chicken over fried chicken (shocking huh?) This is because not only is baked chicken easier and much cleaner to prepare,but it is also considered healthier and clears the air of that stereotype. No two stlyes of a black person’s preparation of this food are the same. Be ready for an evil look or insult to your character if you are a non black person and a black person tells you he’s having chicken for dinner and you reply “Is it fried?” You won’t lose the friendship as blacks are used to being offended. But you will be the butt of his/her jokes for the remainder of that friendship among his/her peers.

I do notice that, but I might be tempted to add “Or they’ll adapt it to be that thing.”

Buddhism has, or often has, a fairly strict set of “morals.” Granted they might be more like “guides” or “concepts” than morals in the Western religious sense. People know about non-violence, but Buddhism also tends to discourage intoxication and attachment to material possessions. And many Buddhist cultures discourage “sexual immorality” or becoming too attached to carnal desires. But I’m thinking many Westerners who get into Buddhism still want to get drunk, buy fancy cars, and have meaningless hook-ups. They just think Buddhism’s all about being nice and chanting, but it’s generally a good deal more than that.

(I’m not Buddhist myself, but I’m interested in Chinese history. Not really to look cool, I’m a rural white person not a SWPL, just because I do.)

It is anathema in the sight of God that genitals remain unmutilated.
