White people love ethnic diversity, but only as it relates to restaurants.
Many white people from cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York will spend hours talking about how great it is that they can get Sushi and Tacos on the same street. But then they send their kids to private school with other rich white kids, and live in neighborhoods like Santa Monica or Pacific Palisades.
But it’s important to note that white people to do not like to be called out on this fact. If you run an ethnic restaurant you can be guaranteed repeat business and huge tips if you act like your white customers are adventurous and cultured for eating food that it isn’t sandwiches or pasta.

There is a restaurant in the west end of Brisbane in Australia that sells food which is for the most part Australian. The fruits vegetables, meats, seafood and spices are Indigenous to Australia. Kangaroo, Possum, Moreton Bay Bugs, Yabees, lemon myrtle. The chef is French. After the first time I went there I emerged thinking ‘this is the most exotic food I have ever tasted’. This is a metaphor for white Australians knowledge and experience of its Indigenous culture and country. despite 200 years of being here white Australians like me have failed to interact with the essence of the countries food sources. We are more familiar with Thai, Malaysian, Japanese, European food, culture and customs than those which are part of the land we have ‘colonised’. Syncretism or the blending and appropriation of culture happens all the time particularly in food, music and beliefs the trick. The questions that arise are: is the appropriation ethical? & does it bring meaning to those who use it? is there a benefit to both cultures in this blend? does it become common ground?

Toronto is the most diverse city in the world. All the white people here like to act like they know Chinese and other foreign food, but they don’t go near any of the real Chinese restaurants in downtown chinatown because they all have rats.
Screw diversity!!..All cultures have their own traditions and these PC multicultural pinheads are always pushing their diversity, group hug sing kumbya agenda on everyone demanding all people shed their traditions and live in denial of cultural differences..I’m not advocating being a racist but why be compelled to surrender your own identity for the comfort of others..It’s total BS
