Please note that this is one area where white women are exempt from, but they should be exempt from other things such as voting and participation in Division 1 sports.
95% of white males have at one point in their lives, experienced yellow fever. Many factors have contributed to this phenomenon such as guilt from head taxes, internment camps, dropping the Nuclear bomb and the Viet Nam War . This exchange works both ways as asian girls have a tendency to go for white guys. (White girls never go for asian guys. Bruce Lee and Paul Kariya’s dad are the only recorded instances in modern history). Asian girls often to do this to get back at their strict traditional fathers. There is also the option of dating black guys, but they know deep down that this would give their non-english speaking grandmother(s) a heart attack.
White men love asian women so much that they will go to extremes such as stating that Sandra Oh is sexy, teaching English in Asia, playing in a coed volleyball league, or attending institutions such as UBC or UCLA (please note that both schools’ colors of “blue” and “yellow” are intentional also the “A” in “UCLA” stand for “Asian” while the “B” in “UBC” stands for “Billion” try and figure out what the rest of the letters stand for). Another factor that draws white guys to asian women is that white women are jealous of them.
Take for instance the fact that asian women well into their 30s and 40s retain teen / college girl looks without the help of botox, yoga or a trendy diet (future posts). Asian women also avoid key white women characteristics such as having a mid life crisis, divorce, and hobbies that don’t involve taking care of the children (also future posts). Should white guy / asian girl marry, they produce hybrids that are atheistically pleasing, but are very annoying. This practice is also a means by which white people can catch up to the asian peoples in the population race, as most of the hybrids often act white rather than asian.

3% body fat is too low for women. I am a runner and am 7% BF. A woman who is VERY athletic might get to about 12%. Unfortunately, women just naturally seem to be fatter than men.

What if I say I’ll date Black girls, but only light-skinned Black girls? Or if I say I’ll date White girls but only Spanish/Italian girls with darker features? There’s absolutely nothing AGAINST any race there – it’s just a preference FOR a medium skin tone. People have certain things they find physically attractive, whether it’s big boobs, or a certain skin color. Even if I say I’ll only date girls with pale white skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair, it’s still not racist, it’s just a very particular preference (albeit a stupid one, limiting myself to such a small percentage of the population).
If it was a general statement about all people, like “I only like people with pale white skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair”, THEN it would be racist. Unless I met every other person in the world who doesn’t fit that description, saying I don’t like them would be ignorant. And if I said something like “I only date Asian girls because they’re smarter than other girls,” that might be a compliment to Asian girls, but it’s also racist because I’d be making a generalization about race and intelligence.

This is the simplest argument to rebuff.
We are not speaking of general preference (i.e. most of the time I wish to date those with X-physical characteristic). We are speaking of simple discrimination (i.e. I wish to only date those with X-physical characteristic).
If the characteristic is there by birth then you have classified those born with it as acceptable for you to date and those not as unacceptable for you to date. Since the dating criteria depends on attributes beyond a persons capability to change it is simple discrimination.
The argument made for same sex dating is erroneous since we have assumed the dating is taking place in either the category of heterosexual dating or in the category of homosexual dating. That means if you are gay and you restrict your partners to those only of a certain race or look you are discriminating. Plain and simple.

My white boyfriend is not short and ugly. He’s 6′ and absolutely gorgeous. In fact through out our 4+ year relationship there have been a number of WHITE women who have tried to convince him that he’d be better off with them. Didn’t work.

You should get your academic theoretical bullshitting into the context and reality of what the original thread of this comment was– that Asian women are unattractive and they are unattractive, particularly Southeast Asians, because they are emaciated. We aren’t talking about a theory or something that you read in some fucking textbook about the relativity of beauty and how “Western” or “Non-western” one ascribes their standards too– we’re talking about an actual comment someone made about an entire group of people.

Um, no, interestingly enough, I’m pretty much ALL German. My guess is that this is not so uncommon where I’m from (Cincinnati-ish). My sister did our genealogy and discovered that we had NOTHING but German in us-no errant English, Irish, Italian.

That’s not entirely true. I am a Hispanic woman that have dated several (if not all) white guys. I have some Hispanic friends (and friends of different races) that have dated white guys (and guys of other races too). There are some Hispanic girls that I know that will only date African American guys and there are some Hispanic chics that will only date white guys.
Small story:
A couple of years ago, I went to a club with some of my friends (two white and 3 latin). It was kind of funny because we all knew what type of guy we all would be going for. One of my white friends went only for black, the other one for white, myself for white or Asian (that’s just my preference but if a guy is good to me and I’m not dating anyone at the time, race shouldn’t be an issue), my latin friend went only for a white guy, and my other latin friend went only for a black guy. We were all ok with it.
However, if we discuss it, my friends and I can become divided when it comes to preferences.

I don’t know I went through a thing a few years ago, and I loved asian men. All my white friends went on to make fun of me. Stature- most Asian men (at least from SE Asia, et.) are smaller than the avg white Amer. male. And if they’re immigrants’ children, there’s a good chance they weren’t exposed to more typically American male cultures like sports or boy scouts, etc.
As for complicated family relationships- perhaps this is due to the fact that Asian family values and dynamics are quite different from Western ones. After all, here is essentially an American who looks Asian being raised inside an Asian family. That’s gotta be good fodder for a shrink. Immigrant families may also value high prestige, highly educated professions instead of letting their children “just” follow their dreams. Immigrants have tended to sacrifice a lot for their own children. Growing up we’d go to Chinese restaurants to find that the older wait staff could’ve been a trained lawyer from China or something, working below their status: it’s their children who’ll make up for the sacrifice they made.
Prob. a lot of this isn’t seen “Asian-Asian” peoples who’re more at home with their non-hyphenated cultures.

My husband is Japanese. I am Caucasian. When we met I thought he was attractive, but so was the Dud sitting next to me (a white guy). When we got to know each other I came to see the “good” and “bad” of him and married him because of the “good” and figured I could tolerate the “bad”. He did the same. We married another HUMAN first and foremost. Love is a funny thing and I don’t think he was the only man I could have met and married. He could have been a Russian man, an American Caucasian man, whomever, as long as there was chemistry and trust. Look into some of the studies done by the Kinsey Institute. They have done repeated studies about penis size/race ratio. They have concluded that race does the biggest average penis belongs to black men, followed by white men, latino and then Asian. However, this is only in flaccid penises. When erect there is no race bigger than any other.

I’m, quite literally, as White-American as you can get–not of the wealthy WASPy variety, but the salt-of-the-earth kind. My ancestors (15 generations back) came to North America on the Mayflower; I have ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary War and ancestors who moved west on the Oregon Trail. Then, for about 130 years, until my grandmother married my grandfather and they spent half the Korean War living on the Air Force base in Tokyo (so no, I don’t have any potential half-Japanese second cousins floating around out there), my paternal line lived on family farms in central Kansas and taught in one-room school houses like in Little House on the Prairie. And I have friends of all races and backgrounds, and I’ve dated guys from most of them–and while, yes, I’ve dated many more white guys than all the other groups combined, it’s been more because Black guys and Latino guys and Persian gusy aren’t interested in me, the White girl, except as a fetishized sexual object. Much like Asian girls. So don’t give me that crap about a “step down.”
Maybe the reason that we tend to date people of similar ethnic backgrounds is that they also tend to be of similar cultural backgrounds–hence, it’s far more likely that we’ll have a lot of things in common. Like, I’m really into microbreweries and indie rock. Drinking artisan ales at small hipster venues while some angsty band no one has ever heard of because they’re on an independent label is not generally a good way to meet Black, Asian, or Hispanic guys; but if you can find me one that’s cute, I’ll give him the same fair shot everyone gets.
All good stuff here! I’ve found as an ABC a lot of difficulty connecting with ABC women. My theory is that there are lots of expectations that are immediately set up when two Asian-Amer. get together (“sticky rice” in the gay world). In contrast, one tends to enter a mixed relationship w/fewer expectations- b/c it’s still unusual and unprecedented. I think another thing that happens is that b/c of the perceived family or community pressure to marry w/in one’s community (or even caste), there’s always the chance that people are choosing to be in such a union for the wrong reasons.

BTW, just as you don’t like to be generalized into an amorphous category of White People, you can’t be sure that some Black or Asian guy won’t be into you. If he was raised in a predominantly white area then the chances are that he’ll know a little more about your culture than the other way around and would find you attractive.

I’m no expert, I don’t even know if what I’m going to say will be true or if I truly believe any of it. This is a 3 a.m. response, so take it how you will:
I am Asian, I live in the Midwest (by Midwest, I mean Ohio, not Chicago, IL, which breeds a different subset of Asian yuppies). I like white men. They have power, money and surprisingly have a command of the English language. I like men of other varieties, too, with similar qualities.
Black women don’t want white men because they are 1) black and therefore need to keep perpetuatin’ the gene, since they are the bearers and 2) females who is not going to be put down by any man, let alone THE man. Black women who are in two-sided battle of blackness and being a strong woman. I know a black woman who loves white men. But, shit, they are hard to find.
Asian women? We care less because of three reasons: 1) Overpopulation. Too many damn Asians around here. 2) We were not enslaved in masses by the white man because we clearly were too smart and, so, white man and Asians have been able to collaborate their geniuses to ultimately provide things white men love…like Apple, sushi, et. Al. 3) We want to be white women and, therefore, happen to look exotic while maintaining white social qualities. You of all people know how white men love uniqueness.
Other things to note: Chinese and Korean are the dominating cultures of American Asian stereotypes: smart, nerdy, future rich twinkie. But when’s the last time you thought about doing a round-headed, pasty Chinese woman? Oh no, they’re tan, frail, “exotic.” Thai and Viet of others of the Indochina region lead to the sex stereotypes. They, clearly not having the richness of the East Asian dynasties sold themselves for money to white men during times of political unrest when white men needed to intervene for long periods of time.
Lucky me, I get to play the generic Asian girl role, but., believe me, to be Lao induces no particular reaction from people. Look, I’m not rich, my dad isn’t a doctor. Umm for what I was told recently a lot of Asian ladies are no different than the current working white ladies. Although, the difference between the whites and the non-whites is that the non-white tend to have stronger sense of family. For example, most of Asian pay for their kids college tuitions and even after that until they can support themselve. In the U.S., you’ll be lucky if they’ll even help you fill out a FAFSA form. Asian general tradition is that parents take care of kids until they get a job and the kids afterwards take care of their parents when they retire. My point is all about the basics, these days in the U.S. “it’s all about me.” Just turn on the television, it’s mostly targeted to professional ladies who work their ass off so that they can home to watch commercial made for them so that they can spend their hard earned money and forget about having too many kids because that would take too much of their yoga time or their spin class, or Mary Kay meeting.
I have dated white girls and their schedule is so busy they don’t need anyone else really, just friends to go happy hour at your local applebees or something. I’ve never been particular about dating white guys but I have noticed that asian guys tend to be more emotionally unavailable and/or have poor communication skills. Maybe something to do with being a son in an asian family and all the pressure to do well in school that comes with it. It’s interesting how in most ads or commercials that feature interracial couples, it’s ALWAYS White men with Asian women. It’s almost like the women aren’t even technically another ethnicity anymore. They never show interracial couples that are White/Latino, White/Black or Latino/Black. Something about these ads bother me but I’m not sure why. Broader noses look good on some ppl. b/c it goes with the size of their face or the other features on them (i.e. lips, eyes) and may not look so hot on others. Even still, as hard as it is to believe black or asian women do not all look alike, some have flat, small noses, big or small chests, even butts… the same as white women, they do not all resemble each other either.

The answer is because the people who run these ad agencies are yuppie, Starbucks drinking white men and they fulfill their insecurities by making sure they cast as many Asian women with white men as possible. Sometimes I think it may be some kind of conspiracy because it’s plenty obvious that humans are like dogs in that we are susceptible to conditional learning (i.e. show us something often and for a long time and we’ll believe it). I also agree with you about the racial hierarchy in this country. Being in second place because we are seemingly the more non-threatening colored people is not something I’m proud of and has worked against us more than it has worked for us. I’m a white guy and have done almost every race except for Indian women. I spent a year learning mandarin in North East China and I can say that I felt like I had an unfair advantage.
I don’t think it had anything to do with my looks or my looks in comparison with the Chinese guys. I think I had an advantage when it came to how I treated the girls. The Chinese guys I knew and were friends with were either A) Too shy. or B) Abusive and overbearing. The idea of being superior is a big part of Chinese culture and it can cause some guys to treat women like property.
I think white guys have a good mix of passion, emotion and animalistic aggression. I had many girlfriends that said I was very kind and lovely in public but like an animal in the bedroom. Treating a woman like a queen outside the bedroom and a whore inside usually gives them a good mixture of self-esteem and domination they crave.
I’d tell my Asian brothers to not be so defensive. There are plenty to go around and the fact that “white men rule the world” and we are after your women should be a compliment. Most of my Chinese buddies liked white girls better than Chinese and they all like Korean girls that had “caucasian sugery” I think this is when they had their eyes made big.

From all the asian girls that I have delt with most fall within two categories. Traditional and moneyhungry. I think most all women from all regions fall in to these categories so I don’t think it is something we should single asian girls out on. I think they are though easier to sniff out if they are after cash.

About the second thing you touched on. I wouldn’t consider white women still a first choice. I’d say that when white guys are exposed to asian women they quickly compare them and see the shortcomings of white women. Wow, this blog has started quite a bit of controversy, I guess I’ll add some as well. I’m here to say that I am a African American man (for lack of a better word) who has a strain of “yellow fever”. I am a student at UBC and have always been under the impression that a large amount of guys attend UBC soley for the Asian girls. It is often a running joke that when a white girl is rejected by a white guy at UBC, it is common for her to say “He must be into Asians”.

Stereotypes are usually based on a recurring phenomena, patterns, etc. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be considered groupings of any sort.
That said, here’s my take:
- First of all, you can’t compare white women to asian women, and white men to asian men “in general”. the bottom line always comes down to whether they’re attractive because that’s what gives you options of who to date in the first place. The less attractive you are, man or woman of whichever race, the less picky you end up being.
For example, most pretty asian girls know they’re pretty, so they know they can date an attractive asian guy, but also have an option of dating a white guy. Many white guys are still not culturally advanced (fact: Americans don’t travel much to other continents), but some are (usually the more liberal ones who grew up with a bit more exposure to other races). However, even then, their perception of what’s considered a “pretty asian girl” is often different from what asian men consider attractive, i.e. the girl has to be very attractive for an asian girl for the asian men to consider her attractive while white men can consider an average asian girl to be “hot” mostly due to her being exotic. So, the options for the hot asian girl is a hot asian guy or an average white guy (often a nerd), and for the average asian girl, it’s an average asian guy or a below average nerdy white guy. The nerdy part is attractive because most asian cultures make an emphasis on education (notice that the asian-invasion universities are usually some of the better schools).
Now, the white girl. There is a huge difference among a stupid American spoiled bitch white girls, nice midwestern girls ready to get married, educated hippie intellectual chicks, and smart executive type women. And there is an even a bigger disparity with the first or second generation Eastern European and other type of recent immigrant “white” women. Most of the posts here seem to assume that all white girls are in the first “stupid spoiled bitch” category AND hot. If that’s the case for a girl, then a lot of the stuff mentioned above applies. However, if it’s one of the other categories (there are probably a few more that I missed), none of it makes sense. I suppose the men that go only for the asian chicks with no bs have had previous experiences only with the spoiled bitch type of white girls. However, anyone who’s lived in any area in North America with a large population of asian women, especially second or third generation asian-american women, would probably agree that there are plenty of asian chicks who also fall into the “stupid spoiled bitch” category. Seems that those men who prefer asian chicks actually prefer the ones that still retained the cultural aspects in their personalities – not just the asian aspect of their looks. I bet they would love the first generation Eastern European women as well if they gave them a chance, or could pick them out of a crowd the same way they can with an asian girl.
Lastly, if a white chick is ugly, she won’t turn down an asian guy either. Once again, it all boils down to what you think you can get. The only white chicks that can be choosy are those with good or great looks. Unfortunately, the first connections are still usually made based purely on looks. Of course, once the conversation gets going, even a hot girl of any race can become ugly pretty fast depending on who’s talking to her.
aesthetically i think hapas/eurasians are actually not as attractive as the pure white and pure asian folk. Hands down the most beautiful white and beautiful asian are so much more attractive separately than the sum of their parts. Hapas look muddled in a not so good way to me. Interasian mixes are great though – actually philippinos and whites make THE BEST hapa children – HOTNESS… but other hapas look like plain and/or weird. Unless you are Kristin Kreuk but she is an anomoly (and frankly takes majority of physical appearance from white side – does NOT look asian at all).
But i also find whites and asians have pretty bad taste so i guess it makes sense they are attracted to the least attractive groups of the other. Persians, eastern europeans, latino-south american mixes, armenians – and multiracial mixes that involve black, white and another ethnic group together are the HOTTEST!
And why when the subject turns to asian women does it get all crazy….seriously if it were purely based on aesthetic reasons I dont think there would be so much controversey – no body hates on beauty and beauty is universal to any group.
But talk about asian women AND ALL HELL BREAKS LOSE – asian women on the defensive for why they prefer white guys, white guys on the defensive for prefering asian women, asian guys and white women on the attack against both – and of course the oddballs who cant help but join a trainwreck and spill their negative 2 cents (myself I guess). Another thing to point out is that there are differences between Asian groups. For instance, Chinese women intermarry at about 25 percent, Korean women at an astonishingly high 67 percent.
