The neo-hippie counter-culture– he majority of which happen to be both “White” (aka culture-less or rebellious) and American– are obsessed with “borrowing” and capitalizing on the mundane practices from other cultures whose origins are very practical. Hell, if you can make a quick buck off some poor 3rd World schmuck, why not?

Does some self-obsessed, raw foodist, self-proclaimed “yogi” from Santa Monica really give a shit about the poverty-stricken Indians living in Mumbai shanties, who have never performed yoga, nor give a shit?

India : Yoga. It’s just stretching, for crying out loud. The passive-aggressive “namaste” perma-happy posing also makes me sick. These fucks are secretly training for underground MMA fighting or expressing their pent-up rage through other, darker outlets.

China: Feng Shui. Moving furniture around to maximize space because 30 people are living in your tiny flat. Literally done to have a pathway for everyone to clear out. The Chinese Zodiac and ying-yang concept is another example of an ancient relic in modern, pseudo-Western China.

Polynesia: Tattoos: While they occur in every culture, the largest modern-day influence has to be from the Polynesians and the U.S. Military (Navy). Now, almost every 17-18 year old girl has tramp stamps, and every closeted male college athlete gets the “tribal” band or something “artistic” (read: idiotic) on their arm or leg. And Polynesians? Only tribal members will partake in tattooing for religious/cultural religions, and not because it’s anti-establishment or done during an altered state. If you ever want to break the glass ceiling as a barista, sandwich artist or tattoo artist (how ironic), avoid the ink.

Fuck, that was a waste of 5 minutes.

yes their are more yoga “Studios” in America and stuff but the fact is Indian people just know how to do yoga
they can buy cheap bootleg dvd’s, youtube, and its televised
Indian’s are known to be cheap so why would they waste money on classes???

this is silly yoga isn’t expensive they have free classes at my University’s gym and many other places. Also you wear sweats and don’t even need shoes. Also it isn’t just stretching it’s a lot of strength moves so it’s a whole body conditioning

Most of you are missing out on the joy and vibrancy of life. Your lives are a waste of endless consumerism and self-absorption. I, as a marketer, am having a field-day on your ignorance. The money keeps rolling in and, with each ridiculous product I produce and market, I scratch my head and say “Are you people this shallow? And the answer, without exception, is a resounding ‘Yes’!

Amazing. A capitalist society that cannot even get along with itself is easy pickings for someone as intelligent, both intellectually and emotionally, as I am. The game is obvious. I make my money on your backs because you all are too ignorant and habituated to realize that what you think is your ‘freedom’ and ‘independence’ are the chains that bind you.

You have no self-control: only self-absorption. “More, more, more…” is your mantra as you desperately try to find some meaning in your meaningless lives.

This is not a rant. Look at your pathetic lives and do something about them. The information is readily available but you are either too arrogant and wealthy or too stupid and fat to do the work necessary to truly wake up.

Your time here is not a dress rehearsal. Do you understand that you, like your fizzy colas and double-decaf mocha lattes, have an expiration date?
