I have hardback first editions of all his books and audio recording on my iPod of every book and NPR show he has recorded. Shockingly, not all "white people" (upper-middle class, liberal, educated white people, that is) like him. I have tried to share my love of David Sedaris with others by giving his best books as Christmas and birthday gifts. After waiting an excruciating six months for the giftee to read the gift, I am always met with a disappointing, "Eh. He's OK, I guess." My favorite author!
