This is probably THE single most accurate entry on the entire list. Also, as the guy who wrote the book said, I can’t believe they waited until number 40 to add it to the list. It wouldn’t surprise anyone, and would also likely please many, to see this in the top 20, if not in the top 10.

Thats why the iPod is great…..music and video storage as well as being able to store many other kinds of files such as PDFs, PSD’s, EPS, MOV’s, ETC…..

Stop using shit products like Western Digital…isnt that a money wire transfer service? lol (j/k, I know what western union is)

But seriously, iPod is useful for more than music. That is why it is more expensive, and also why it is better than any “mp3″ player on the market.

Apparently, the author here has some ridiculous/questionable lovefest for things non-Apple. If Microsoft made computers, then their programs would all work so much better with the operating system. Note to you PC-for-lifers: If Microsoft made their own programs instead of outsourcing them to private companies, your shit wouldnt crash at an astronomical rate. The programs have to conform to the operating system to work, and when they crash it is a result of the program not communicating well with the OS.

Apple has all their programs created to work with their OS. Thats why people say that Apple “Just Works.” Plus the fact that they dont have viruses and dont have to be gotten rid of every 2 years because of being overrun by viruses is what makes them more pricey. Also, you dont have to buy stupid Anti-virus software that eats up your memory, thus making your computer slow. I have had the MacBook I am typing this post on for 5 years now and it has been great. My PC didnt last 4 years, and was a pitiful excuse for a computer the entire while. I have no problems with this computer. It is fast, it works, and I have no viruses.

Thats why THIS white guy likes Apple.

What do you mean “very high res picture editing”? Apple computers have the same hardware as any other mid-range PC. The only differences are they have a different OS that is locked to the hardware and they tend to have designer cases. You can do “high res” editing on any computer with decent specs and you can buy any Windows PC with as good or better components than any given Macbook.

The only thing really missing on Windows is Final Cut but most people aren’t video editors and don’t need it. Adobe Creative Suite works fine on both platforms as does pretty much anything else. The only real difference is that Windows will run on your choice of hardware. Mac OS requires you to buy one of their boutique machines at a hefty premium for the style points.
