I know a guy that sold his $5000 AR-15 for $3500, then bought an $1100 bow and arrow set, and a $1400 bicycle. He lives in a manufactured home and drives a piece of crap ford. That kind of thinking is more common than not in the rainbow sanctuary state I currently live in .

I think its funny how my roommates triathlon bike is worth more than his car. Funny thing though- you cant pick up chicks at the club with a really expensive bicycle (unless you have a really big basket, which automatically rules out triathlon bikes)

ummm…..i have 3 bikes….one to commute (my old racer), one to race with and a mountain bike (I am discovering the joys of off road riding)

i remember when fixed gear bikes were almost exclusively ridden by bike messengers, track racers, and old school roadies in the winter. you fucking hipsters who don’t know how to ride in city traffic get the fuck out the way

btw the reason that I said roadies was because pretty much the only complete arogant dickheads I have meet riding a bike are roadies. I haven’t meet many mtbers or fixie riders who are like what the roadies bring out….

The bike not having brakes is part of the image. Sure there are some dickheads who ride fixed but that goes with most genres of riding; mostly roadies. You’ve got to realise that not everyone who rides fixed are complete arogant dickheads like you have percieved them in the image. There are some really nice people who ride fixed and it’s sad that you will never experience this…. /

In Europe, a liberal wants more capitalistic style economics and more cash in their wallets…and their social democracy is open to reform whenever needed.
