#63 Expensive Sandwiches

Having already covered breakfast and dinner options, the question remains: what do white people like to do for lunch? The answer: expensive sandwiches.
In most cities, if you need to find a cache of white people get yourself to a sandwich shop. Generally these places aren’t open for dinner, have a panini press and are famous for their bread. There are always vegan options and the selection of meats and cheese are strongly European.
The waiters and waitresses in these places are highly coveted by the white population. They are not quite as cool as bartenders, not quite as snobby as coffee shop workers, but still artsy, young, and more than likely to be a musician/artist/writer (since they only have to work from 11-3).
If you are in the position where you need to take a white person to lunch for business or pleasure, saying “I know a great sandwich shop,” will always bring out a smile. The white person will then tell you about the great sandwich shop in the town where they went to college and how they had a crush on a waiter, or that there was some special sandwich that they always ordered. This will put the person in a good mood.
It’s important to note that this type of restaurant is best for business or friendship situations as it is very neutral and does not carry connotations like Sushi or Breakfast.
These sandwiches generally start at $8.99. Remember that whenever a white person says they wants to go to a sandwich shop you are looking at at least a $15 outlay after tip and drink, $20 if the place has a good selection of microbrews.
Also note: white people will wait up to 40 minutes for a good sandwich.

i’d wait about 20min for a $20 meal…fuck 40min….i can make sandwiches at home in that time…i dont think expensive sandwiches are a very funny and stereotypical joke of us anyway….come on you can do better than that….how ”bout doing one on expensive strollers…for jogging white women…hmmm??

I love it when white people said I’m not white enough to go into Subway, Quizno’s or Schlotzky’s (they just arrived in the Palm Springs area), I make my own sandwiches or bring in a lunch to work, the “brown bag/lunch-pail” Democrats of blue collar origins…or the jokes about Native Americans on the rez only eat baloney-white bread-sandwiches to wash down with wild turkey, malt liquor or listerine schnapps. +

Once a week you can go to Subway, Quiznos once a month or when a coupon from Schlotzsky’s comes to my mailbox. I would eat a big mac, whopper, famous star or jumbo jack, but hold the fries, have a small salad and drink water/diet coke/sugar-free lemonade. I walk a mile or two per day in the summer heat, still in my late 20′s and grew up in what doctors said underweight, therefore I worry too much on my health, wealth, youth and class (how white is that?) +
Ever heard of Cheba Hut in Boulder, CO.? Sandwiches are delicious, expensive, and the place really grinds my gears because of that. It is also full of Marijuana Pariphanalia (I know I can’t spell, I don’t give a shit) and they use that to attract that college atmosphere and thus are considered white and “in”. White people have no culture.

My maternal grandma grew up in Lakewood near Denver, and is that somewhere near South Park? Nope, Boulder is where that Mork alien lived with his human GF on that 70s comedy show. “Nah noo nah noo”. +
Over a three day period I went from eating a goat cabeza barbecoa taco (TX), to a pulled-feral-roadkill-pork po-boy (MS), to a tempeh, sprout & avacado on some kinda mystery hemp bread (NYC: probably fail my next piss-test over that one?) and ALL of these joints had one thing in common… Cholula’s pequin & carrot hot sauce. The one place had Marie Sharpe’s! So, maybe White people are indeed finally developing taste buds? None of the places had any real beer though…
