Divorce is stupid. Marriages are not taken seriously anymore. Maybe they don’t know the meaning “death to us part”. It stresses both parties out, and they don’t think about their family especially their children. Keep this up then marriage will be considered to be a one night stand relationship and not a serious, loving (through the good times and the craptacular times) bond. They need to remember why they love/married each other in the first place.

I don’t think white people are more likely to get married, at all. The assumption you’ve made here is that all marriages end in divorce, which is categorricaly untrue, or at least that the divorce rate is consistent with marriage rate.

I guess it stands to reason that white people would seem more prone to divorce, considering they’re more likely to get married in the first place. Having four kids by different dads whose names you don’t remember versus divorcing your spouse because you’ve grown apart? I think I’m comfortable being considered an Oreo on this one.

I would just like to point out, in my superior way, that you misspelled ‘dessert’. Unless, of course, your friend had a desert scene at their wedding that you were trying to one-up.

I’m so happy and feel so educated now that I’ve corrected your linguistics. I may just go grab some sushi for dinner and then return home to do something other than watch TV, since I don’t have one. The fact is that conservatives have a higher divorce rate than liberals. Your shallow and hasty analysis of the cause of the high rate of divorce may be a result of choosing the wrong sources for your information or a complete lack of critical thinking skills.
