Well, congrats to you for having the most superior, ignorant comment I have seen in a long time! Imagine MY surprise to find out that pain, hurt and tradgedy ONLY stuck people of a certain race, creed and upbringing!
Let's test that - I am white, female, and yes, I did grow up in the suburbs. DING DING DING, I hit all of the major markers for the magical people of the world who live in shiny bubbles and feel no pain. Now let's examine the fact that every milestone of my childhood occured within the walls of a hospital (as that is where my dad most often was for his illness) and that my bippolar brother tried to stab us all with a butcher knife one night, landing him in a facility. And to that pile let's add the months when both parents were in the hospital and/or bedridden necessitating me to become cook, caretaker and nurse. Medical debt caused us to grow up poor - we just got to be viewed by the world as middle class because of my parent's high education and careers as teachers.
No matter what race, religion, gender or location in life, everybody suffers. EVERYONE faces tradgedy and strife. How arrogant are YOU to assume that you and whoever your people happen to be have cornered the market on human pain.
We move on. I worked my way through college and now am a teacher. Suck it up, pull your head out of your ass, and notice the 7 billion people on this planet with problems, nor worse or better than you.

So true. White people freak out about ended relationships so much because that's probably the only source of "true pain" they've had to deal with. In between going to liberal art schools, taking time off work to backpack, twittering their sad feelings from their iPads, reminiscing about childhood summer camp while on their overpriced weekend camping trips, life hasn't thrown that many curveballs (tell them this and they quickly counter with telling you about their parents' divorce). Non-white people (or anyone for that matter not coming from the middle-class suburbs) don't dwell too much on breakups because they've had the perspective of dealing with other touch situations like, oh, say... lay-offs, abuse, growing up poor, having to work two jobs as a single parent, sucking up your pride and standing in the welfare line. No time deal with a string of long-term relationships followed by a year of heartache in-between!

This is absolutely true. I can't stand hearing white people and their boyfriend problems.....not even hearing, overhearing. I try so much not to hear it because usually its complete nonsense they are emotional about that they blow up waaaay out of proportion so other people (mostly white because I black girl will tell you straight up you need to leave that guy...but they don't want to hear that) can console them and they can talk about themselves for hours.

I hear this all the time at school. That's why white people love romantic comedies...they love that "romance-made-difficult" type of thing.

This should be listed under stuff that white people don't like, because of all the heartache and loneliness that breakups cause. Lafonda, if you're reading this, please give me another chance. We had such a great 5 1/2 days. You were my everything and my only, I would die for you.

White people, well all people, also enjoy http://www.NakedHipster.com. Mainly because the girls are hot and don’t have clothes on. Usually those two things go well together. You know, the hotness and the nakedness.
