Yes! Now I don’t feel so bad. I’m like you spent money not to get paid? Am I missing something here? I figure its just so you can have a large company name on your resume. But people travel out of state for this stuff and its very competitive. Maybe they have rich parents that don’t mind this? I dunno. I give up.

Well, what about internships in biology/chemistry research. Those are pretty much ubiquitous amongst pre-med students. Or would they be counted amongst the “wrong type” of people?

I had an unpaid internship and BOTH of my managers were black and ate Popeyes everyday for lunch…. or KFC if they wanted a change of pace. They also loved yelling my name from across the office- so lazy.
