Many white people, especially AMERICAN white people continuously refer to Europe like it’s a country.
One might refer to European sailors wearing pea coats…as in “there’s a lot of European sailors wearing pea coats”. (oh there IS, is there?)

oh, i like peacoats just fine… the one (well, two) i had served me well, but i swear, in portland you can’t swing a cat w/out hitting a guy in adidas sambas and a peacoat.

that said, they can look quite dapper, if you can pull it off. most can’t.

i live in portland, oregon- if it isn’t a colombia/north face raincoat every time i turn around, it’s a damned peacoat… probably bought at andy & bax (i’ve never seen a non-chalky in there except for myself… if you live in pdx and you don’t know about andy & bax, you’re probably mexican).

ugh. i did own a peacoat once years ago. vintage. ww2 era in mint condition. got it for free, then i gave it away… must be my asian side rejecting it’s honkeyness ^_~
