The majority of PEOPLE – black, white, brown, yellow, fucking yellow and purple don’t even fucking listen to Wu-Tang or any old GOOD old school hip hop anymore. 50 cent, Lil’ Wayne, etc. All that fucking trash. It’s all fucking garbage.

Yes, in general from my experience, white people LOVE to preserve good music; I haven’t listened to the radio in over 10 years now. Why? Because it sucks ass. But I’ve got a massive collection of the stuff I consider good; which I share with all races. Think of us as the collectors who keep it alive, we’re not the average black/brown youth caught up in gang banging pumping 50 cent because he got shot x amount of times. Fuck him.

Look up that old interview with Meth and ODB, Meth and ODB both specifically state that they feel a large amount of their musics goes over the heads of the ‘average listener’; does ‘average listener’ imply educated white guy to you?

Didn’t think so. Wu-Tang SHOULD not be categorized as ‘black people’ music; because it isn’t. These cats are smart dudes, nobody can dismiss that, they got out of the slums with their intelligence and commitment. Look at RZA, does he strike you as the typical ‘nigga’? No, no he does not. Does a single member of Wu-Tang strike you that way? Fuck no.

Two very different musical styles, but yes I agree with Lit Degree in the sense that some white people are in general more inclined to be ‘unique’; the average white person is boring as fuck. I don’t sit at home drooling over my tax return and imported coffee. I’m not gonna dismiss that as being somewhat accurate, I know people like that, just like you know the typical wanna be MC with weak ass rhymes.

Point is, sterotypes are accurate. Do whatever you can to no longer make them that way. Fuck sterotypes.

I’m pretty sure white people make up the majority of listeners for all Hip-Hop, no matter the genre. White people just like Hip-Hop in general, much more than any other race.
