    People piss me off, this is just another way for people who have money to waste to flaunt it to the rest of the world that is in the middle of a food shortage. 13,000 would probably feed a family in Haiti for a year but gotta send little buffy to get organic everything. Nonsense, the U.S. is going to get Captain Moonlighted if we are not careful, this excess is one reason people hate us.     Black people with money do the same thing. Not french schools perse, but very expensive preschools and up, they will spend the money for to keep their children out of inner-city public schooling. Majority of the black people who have money in St. Louis, send their children to John Burroughs, the Mary Institute of Country Day (MICDS) or Rosati Kain (an all girl private school). My aunt one daughter in John Burroughs (12k per year) and the other in MICDS (17k per year) at the same time. Those are the top three expensive private schools where there’s probably 3 black kids to every 100 students. I went to private school myself but it was only 5k a year. So I guess I would look stupid around white and black people who obviously spend way more.

    Looks like a preschool for making children stuck up. Any parent who has raised children knows that you can piss all your money away on early education. Fact is, when they get into high school, the kids will do better if they are raised in a sane and disciplined household.

    I agree with your comment. I don’t understand why anyone would spend so much time and energy making pointless comments. Not sure what their goal is in making the comments other than to ensure people stop reading the comments. Keep it up and the only people reading the comments will be them.

    I wonder where they have been for last few months and why they have appeared. None of them can be over 14 and I am sure junior high school doesn’t get out until June.

    Can you explain to me your motivation in pretending to be clander. It is simply that the anonymity of the internet lets you play out some fantasy. If you are under 16 then I understand but if you are over 16 then perhaps spend a few minutes and reflect on your motivation and what this blog has to do with you.      Private schools, im speaking private highschools, actually have more hardcore drugs then public schools. While public highschools might have tons of pot, its the private schools who get the coke, meth, and prescription pills.

     Actually, abusing prescription medication should be a post in and of itself. White people love abusing medications, so I feel it fits. White people are kinda over the whole pot thing (cuz its cheap and readily available, coke is a waste of money for a high lasting less then an hour, and meth is just kinda dirty and complicated, to much chemistry there) so pills work perfectly, you pop one back when your with the girls out to lunch at a lovely organic cafe, then you go home and read the huffington post and talk to your alcoholic/ambien abusing sister on the phone. White men abuse prescription pills differently. They mix them with alcohol, and have a fun little cocktail. This probably wont be a post because its not very positive, but in my family abusing prescription drugs are so, i guess its more of an undiscussed topic.

Some might be more racist then others, but we all judge people who are different then us. sure we have black friends, but you know when you go to the mall and see them wearing tweety bird slippers, in your mind your thinking “damn why cant black people just not be so lazy and throw on some damn shoes, and maybe have pants that arent flanel”. Or your at the mcdonalds drive threw and the lady barely speaks english and you cant understand what the hell she is saying, i know your thinking “damn cant these mexicans just learn our damn language before they take all of our jobs”.      My daughter went to the Steiner School on East 79th street in NYC (all white hippies kids ). That school has always used home grown food and cheese from their farm upstate, and brown bread heavy enough to use as a brick.

     No! I actually live In a very lovely town. Our mall is very nice, we have a nordstrom, and a tiffanys, and a williams sonoma, and tons of upscale shops. Now im not saying all black people dress in tweety bird slippers, because usually when it comes to upscale shopping, black people are known to overdress, but you do see them. I know its not hard to throw on some shoes, or even real pants, so thats wat pisses me off.      This is a somewhat interesting post, . I went to public school but it was a french immersion magnet program. It was set up in a more minority school (bladensburg MD) and so even though I lived two blocks from an elementary school, I had over an hour long bus ride to school in the morning. It started in kindergarden, so I learned my ABCs and other basic stuff in french. 12 years of it on and off and I still am pretty bad at it.

     Too much of an issue is being made over the $13K aspect, in my opinion. Day care / pre-school is expensive. That is due to the low child-adult ratios needed for young children. No getting around that.

     Suppose you need care for your young child, and you need it 50 hr/wk (40hr/wk job plus commuting). If you don’t have an obliging grandparent, your options are:

     1. Baby sitter: $10-15/hr = minimum $500/wk

     2. Day-care center. I’ve been quoted $289/wk. That’s a lot cheaper than the baby sitter. But it will still put you out over $14K for a 50-week year. And that is just for day-care centers that will change the diapers, feed the kids snacks, and otherwise “warehouse” your children.

     3. Various pre-schools. These promise to not just look after your children, but also to teach them something. I assume the $13K tuition is just for 9 months, so that’s more like $17K for 12 months. Given that (unlike day care centers) they actually DO SOMETHING, this is starting to sound like a good deal.

     Of course, WHAT they teach your kids is the big kicker. There are plenty of educational philosophies, and French-English bilingual pre-school education is just one of them. Personally, I’m looking into Montessori school. But no matter whether you find a place that will teach with one or another philosopy, or just look after your children — no matter whether the school is pretentious or not — it will still cost SOMEONE over $10K/yr.

     Public pre-school programs cost just as much, but they are funded by taxpayer dollars, of course.

     Sorry, that’s just the reality of childcare in America today.
